About RMS:

Rashtriya Military Schools are among the oldest and most reputed military-style residential schools in India, run by the Directorate General of Military Training (Indian Army). Their aim is to prepare students for the National Defence Academy (NDA), Indian Naval Academy, and other officer-level entries in the Armed Forces.

The environment in these schools promotes discipline, courage, and leadership. Along with academics, cadets participate in sports, NCC training, and adventure activities — helping them grow into confident future leaders of India.

Admission Details:

Admissions are open for Class 6 and Class 9 through an entrance exam conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA).

• Eligibility: Only boys can apply.
• Selection Process: Written exam, interview, and medical test.
• Medium of Instruction: English.
